Being among top 10 countries in the world for its mining section, Iran still spends large sums on importing mining machinery and processed minerals. To promote this, it has offered attractive investment facilities including a tax exemption for at least five years for all activists in the mining sector and up to 13 years for those manufacturers located in the industrial towns.

Since domestic producers are still unable to manufacture mining machinery, the country imports them from foreign sources. Apart from all known and explored minerals, Iran also has good sources of brine minerals like Qom Salt Lake which is intact entirely and can be an excellent opportunity for excavating valuable minerals.

Since domestic manufacturers and producers are unable to manufacture needed mining machinery as well as parts and also fail to process the excavated ore and produce needed minerals, the country imports both necessary machinery and metals. Now that the market seeks for suppliers in these two categories, those who can provide them with reasonable price and compete with the current vendors, would be very welcomed.
