Although the country has good domestic agricultural machinery manufacturers, it still needs to import those heavy vehicles that can’t be produced in the home.
Being the first country in the world to start agricultural activities, Iran is talented in this field. But unfortunately, due to lack of water distribution and poor soil only about 12% its lands are potentially cultivable. This misfortune, of course, is an excellent opportunity for suppliers of new technologies of soil richening and modern water distribution systems.
With mostly low and middle-income farmers, as demanders, the market is deal with the key factor of price. Quality, after sale services, and availability of spare parts are another key factors in purchasing decision of potential demanders. So that unsatisfactory about the low-quality of some domestic and foreign brands in recent years has made the demanders to choose second-hand but high-quality imported machines.
Although local manufacturers of agricultural machinery can manufacture most parts of the machines, they still need some parts to be imported from abroad. The supply side also asks for heavy tractors, heavy combines, garden tractors, and rice transplanters which cannot be manufactured in the country and should be imported as a whole product.
The market with a definite need for new methods and technologies of soil-richening, modern water distribution systems, high-quality spare parts, heavy tractors, heavy combines, garden tractors, and rice transplanters, calls for suppliers. Of course, the market would prefer those who offer high-quality products but at reasonable prices.
