Airbus and Boeing finally received their permission from US government to execute their deals to sell airplanes to Iran. Airbus received permission for selling the first 17 planes and Boeing is clear to sell 80 planes to Iran. Also, airbus announced it is expecting to receive the license to sell its remaining planes to the country.

Iran Air, the national flagship carrier, which was banned from purchasing airplanes is going to lease 29 new Boeing 737s to renovate its aging fleet.

These deals have been signed between Iran and the two major plane makers after the nuclear accord has been reached earlier this year. However, the deals have been threatened to be nullified as the US Treasury restrained plane makers from doing business with Iran. Te new developments seem to be facilitating delivery of the planes to Iran which is supposed from 2017.
